This park is huge and beautiful,

so many different flowers and plants

this is a must see if you havent been there yet

and find yourself in the san-fran area

I love the greenery

The sunlight on this plant gave it such a warm glow

and this beauty was hidden in the trees, among branches... and leaves

Beautiful sunny day

A season? A reason? A lifetime?

I've always believed that people are either in your life for a "season," meaning they are around for a few months, or a year, and then for whatever reason your friendship ends, they may be in your life for a "reason" and once the purpose of your friendship has been fulfilled the friendship is no more, or my personal favorite a " lifetime" a strong bond, and connection that no time space or words can change. An understanding of two minds on a deep level, a connection with a person that you may not have with any other person in this world, and that connection is worth knowing this person for their LIFETIME and making an effort to insure that they remain a part of your life.

Many have few " lifers " as I like to call them :) They change with the seasons and find it hard to stay true to themselves because they are still figuring out who their " selves " are. Unwilling to work and put the effort fourth, compromise and forgive, understand and empathize. I have many " lifers ". People in my life that I plan to know for my entire life, connections that I have made with individuals that are essential for my well being. Strong souls, kind words, unique minds, warm hearts, broken spirits, beautiful human beings that I fully intend to know my entire life. If I associate with you on my free time, I intend to know you my entire life. Because life is too short to spend it with people that I do not love, admire, care for, think about, and want to know my entire life. You always make time for what is important to you, whether it is once a day, once a week, once a month, or once a year.

Every where I go, I meet people. Beautiful people, that have an impact on my life, no matter how small that impact may be. I open my mind and my heart and share a piece of my "true" self with them. You would be amazed at the kind of things people say when talking to a stranger. You can be whoever you want to be with a stranger, think about that.

And believe it or not, EVERY SINGLE DAY you have the power to affect someones life, you can chose to affect it in a positive way or a negative way... the choice is yours. Smile at a stranger. Hold the door for the person coming in behind you. Ask the lady behind the desk how her day is going, and listen intently looking into her eyes when she answers.

The Exception

So often we are the rule, we forget what it feels like to be the exception to the rule. We forget that we are indeed "special", unique and quirky. That we are different, which makes us beautiful. There is no sense in trying to blend in to the crowd, Not stand out so much, keep your opinions to yourself, because all of the things that make us stand out, our voice, our unique sense of style, even if it doesnt match, or " go with the trend" our beautiful minds, hearts, feelings ( no matter how deep or emotional ) our ability to connect with complete strangers, and offer a true part of ourselves, no matter how big or small, ALL of these things are what make us human, are what make us so incredibly beautiful as individuals.

Dont be the rule, anymore. Be the exception. You see the thing is, you already are the exception. You already have a light inside of you that shines so brightly it could warm the coldest heart, A voice so pure it could make the skeptic a believer, eyes so wide and full of a thirst for life you could bring any hermit out of their shell, you just need to embrace it, and dont be afraid to show it. Embrace who you are, all of your flaws ( for they are the most beautiful part of you), embrace your differences, embrace your HUMANITY. And soon the " exception " could be the RULE.

So I just took a very long drive to California,

on the way there I passed lots of

interesting places but this was the only place I decided to

stop for a minute.

It really caught my interest,

so much character, in such a small and quaint place
